Donelle Whiteley – Rotary Biography
Donelle’s Rotary journey began in Western Australia as a member of the Mandurah Rotary Club, following many years of active involvement with the Inner Wheel Club in Kalgoorlie. Rotary opened doors to opportunities and experiences that may otherwise have remained out of reach, shaping both her personal and professional life.
 

In 2016, Donelle joined the Rotary Club of Greater Springfield after relocating across Australia to manage a bookstore. This move not only brought her to a new club but also introduced her to a close-knit group of friends who have become like family.
Queensland is now proudly home. It is where Donelle met her husband and built a life she loves. Although she doesn’t miss the red dirt and dry heat of Kalgoorlie, she cherishes her roots as a fourth-generation native. Her children were also born in Kalgoorlie and now live in Perth, WA, keeping her connection to Western Australia strong.

Donelle has just completed 16 months as President of the Rotary Club of Greater Springfield and previously served as an Area Governor for District 9630. Her Rotary service includes organising PDG Paul Rogers’ District Changeover, serving as Head Sergeant for Tim Keeler’s District Conference, and receiving a Paul Harris Fellow in recognition of her dedication to Rotary. She is currently in her second year as District Chair for Australian Rotary Health.

Beyond Rotary, Donelle currently completing a Diploma in Family History Studies at the University of Tasmania and aspires to build a career as a researcher in this field. She enjoys photography, painting, and playing Pickle ball.
