What does being a member entail?

Being a member of Brisbane High-Rise Rotary club demonstrates a commitment to having fun whilst serving our community. Our weekly breakfast meetings are an opportunity to hear from a roster of guest speakers and we regularly organise social events. By joining Brisbane High-Rise Rotary Club, you also become a member of Rotary International.

Why Join Rotary?

First and Foremost – Fun!

With a diversity of ages and professions we provide service to the community with a group of people we like spending time with. If it wasn’t fun, we wouldn’t be members.

Serving Our Community

At the heart of Rotary is the desire to “give back” to the community. Rotary organises volunteering and fund raising for a mix of local and international causes, providing convenient, organised ways to serve the community.

Learn New Things

Our weekly meetings feature guest speakers from a diverse range of backgrounds working on new and prominent projects. The opportunity to hear from experts outside of your industry on a regular basis is reason alone to join Rotary. See “Hot Air” for our upcoming speakers.

An Instant Network

Along with the members of Brisbane High Rise, Rotary is an International organisation with 28,000 clubs in 188 nations and geographical regions.  There are few places on the globe that do not have a Rotary Club.  This means instant friends in both one's own community and in the world community.

Opportunities for Personal Development

Rotary supports a variety of programs from the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, to Youth Exchange to Professional Exchanges and Peace Scholars. We also routinely have our members present on themselves and their professions. There are multiple avenues for Rotarians, their families and the broader community to develop new skills, refresh your old ones and be supported in the process.

How do I become a member?

We encourage prospective members to come along to a meeting and meet our club. If you would like to become a member you then apply in writing to our board outlining the reasons for your application and providing your most recent CV.

What does it cost?

Annual membership fees of $350 include your club memberships and registration with Rotary International. Our weekly breakfast meeting is $41.
