How Rotary has changed over the last 30 years.

Craig Bowen has had a long career in Rotary and has seen many changes, especially what changes have occurred and how they have changed Rotary as an organisation.

 

Craig was born in Brisbane and educated at Anglican boys Grammar School ("Churchie").

He worked in the insurance industry for 48 years worked in New Zealand Chile  Argentina, Brazil, USA UK and Bangkok

Craig joined Rotary in 1998 and was President of the Rotary club of Ingham five times.

He served as District Governor of District 9550 in 2006/2007.

Represented Rotary in Australia at the 100th anniversary of the second Rotary club in the world San Francisco number two club in 2008.

2007 Did an official visit to Malaysia and spoke at the district conference as a guest of DG to Jimmy Lim

2008 represented PIP DK Lee For an official visit of Uganda

2023 charted the first LGBTQ Rotary club in the southern hemisphere called Rotary Club Of Briz Pride.

2024 international president of the LGBTQ Fellowship within Rotary.
